I am boycotting Between the Buns!

So I haven't blogged in a long time. oops.

So just thought I would jot down a quick story about lunch.

I met my dad at Between the Buns for lunch. Both of us were in a good mood just making small talk wen the waitress showed up. I asked her what her soup was, hoping they would have the tomato with cream cheese, as luck would have it they did. So I asked my dad if he wanted to share a sandwhich and i wanted a cup of soup to go with it. The waitress, we will call her Flo, suggested that we do the 1/2 sandwich cup of soup combo it would be cheaper than to share a whole. So we said great thats what we will do. I ordered first and following the menu in the build your own section left to right this is how the dialogue went down.

Natalie: "Ok i will have turkey with hot pepper cheese actually no l would like provolone with lettuce mayo and mustard on wheat whith a cup of the tomato soup and a Sierra mist."

Dad: "I will have turkey with monterrey jack cheese. Can you do that on an Onion Roll?

Flo: "no it has to be sliced bread to be able to do a half. Sorry."

Dad: "well in that case i will have it on sourdough...and you guys have pesto right?

Flo: "yes we do.

Dad: "Great I will have that with light mayo the soup and just a water to drink."

Natalie: "oh. I forgot you guys had pesto can you add that to my sandwich?"

Flo: slight chuckle followed by this statement: "you are like every waitresses nightmare.

Stunned look on both Natalie and Dads faces.

Flo: putting pad on table: "Ok. So you want turkey mayo pesto mustard no tomatos or onions?

Natalie: "yeah thats why i only said lettuce."

Flo is acting exasperated by my pesto request.

Natalie: "i am sorry i did not realize I was being difficult?"

Flo with big smile: "Oh I meant it in the nicest way possilbe."

Natalie: "Ok whatever."

That is almost word for word what transpired. Did I do anything wrong in that situation? I added pesto to my sandwich and asked for it before she left the table with our order. I have been a waitress and I am sorry that is not every waitresses worst nightmare! Ok a 6 top of British people five minutes to close all separate checks is a nightmare. Serving a hamburger to a vegetarian when it was suppose to be a bean patty is a nightmare. Flo needs a reality check.

my favorite part of the trialogue (that should be a word if it is no) was: "yeah, that's why i only said lettuce."
