What a weekend!

I really had one of those weekends that I wish happened every weekend. Not only did I have both Sat & Sun off but it was the perfect combination off a lot going on to laziness. Friday wasn't really that exciting I got Vegas ready for the PMR (Poland Moe Rodeo) and then cleaned my house from top to bottom. Even managing to get a few loads of laundry done and that always feels really good.

Saturday was the second annual Poland Moe Ranch Rodeo, Dance & BBQ. Which really isn't a rodeo at all. More like a playday for friends and family to get together ride their horses, eat good food & listen to music. Rachel came and rode Cheyenne and did an excellent job doing all the games. She even won the ribbon race! My dad rode Harley and that was comical and great at the same time. Harley tried to get away from him and instead of saying whoa he kept saying slow harley slow. It was fun he was my partner for the ribbon race. Vegas was a moron! But other than that it was a lot of fun and a good day. After the riding portion was over we all went up to the house where rolling thunder bbq had been smoking 29 tri-tips since noon. The food was so good and the corn was so sweet you didn't have to use butter or salt just ate it as is. Then the Michael Fowler band played had a few beers and then it was time to go home. But the best part of the day was Chris waiting for me at home! He finally made it back from Montana it was so good to finally go to sleep with him there. I slept like a rock!

Vegas & I won Egg & Spoon 2 years in a row!

Me & Rachel

Mom & Sienna

Rachel & her partner won the ribbon race
Dad & I gave it our best shot!

Sunday was equally enjoyable. I got sleep in for the first time in forever and Chris was right there with me. After we went & took Vegas home and put everything away we ate breakfast at Caseys scratched off some lottery tickets won 6 bucks! Took a quick cat nap and then went to the river. OH my goodness we found this perfect little sandy spot where no one was. The sand went out a ways so you weren't tripping and killing your feet on rocks! YAY! And the dogs both had so much fun I wish I had a waterproof camera because Peanut is a swimmer! Its soo cute and when he splashes he tries to catch it in his mouth he goes out pretty far sticks his whole head under water trying to get sticks and shells. I can't believe how brave that little dog is. Chris and I had a handstand contest to see you who could make it the furthest walking on their hands. We both lost. It was funny to watch. Then we just laid on the beach part and got some good sun. Then after we went home and showered we went for some good sushi and then just relaxed at home with some tv.

Overall a very fun, relaxing & eventfull weekend.

Laziness.

I think someone has slipped me a lazy pill about six months ago that has yet to wear off. It is seriously sad the lack of energy I have. Well not really the lack of energy I have but the lack of desire to do things. I wake up in the morning not really tired and all i wanta do is either go back to sleep or go lay on the couch. I don't use an alarm I just always wake up at 730 but I haven't made it out of bed before 8 in about 2 months! What is wrong with me! For once in my life I have very few stressers and the ones I do have are manageable. I am actually very happy with where I am right now. Things between Chris and I have never been better, work is good, my finances are in good shape, I have a trip to visit Tessa next month Vegas after that plus tons of fun camping trips that are coming up. I have so much to look forward to and be happy about. Don't get me wrong I am not depressed I am happy! I am just LAZY! All I want to do is sit on my couch and eat chips and drink soda? I have never had great eating habits but they have never been this bad. I am in desperate need of an intervention. I have been eating so much fast food its sick.

Chris is going to start getting in shape for climbing season and i am just going to make myself join him. I will never rock climb I am just to afraid of it my hands feel like they are losing there grip as I type this. But I can go and hike with him and take my camera and see if I can get some cool shots. I like to blame my laziness on the weather but it is only partially to blame I actually am happy on my day off when its raining because then i don't feel bad about not wanting to do anything. I hope this changes soon. I want to be an active person that gets stuff done. I thought that by putting people running on my vb it would make me want to run but so far nope. I need to find a new strategy.

random blog

I can't tell if I am still recovering from St. Patty's Day or if I am coming down with something but I do not feel good. I am so tired I can barely keep my eyes open and last night we were in bed by 10 and I slept in until 8. Yeah I had to be to work at 830 and I have a 20 minute drive I am sure you can guess how beautiful I look right now. So I really shouldn't be as tired as I am. Peanut is at work with me today we have our last dog obedience class tonight. We haven't worked on anything all week so oh well. I really would like to continue taking some classes. I got a lot out of this one but we will see. I am disappointed in myself that I haven't really used my camera yet I was really tempted to take it with me Tuesday for the pub crawl but knew that was a bad idea. But let me tell you there would have been some great photos. There was this one guy (not a small guy either) wearing just whitey tighties with bud light flags on the front and back. It was quite the sight and they were not new whitey tighties.

March has been a crazy month so far. Sunday I had the interview thing for the miss douglas county pageant and then I had to leave early from there to go to a charity poker tournament. Tuesday was the pub crawl. tomorrow night is a birthday party for my dad. Saturday is the greatest of the grapes. And then next weekend we are going to the coast for Lucy's birthday. Considering we are kinda home body's that is a lot for us. Plus, I am just about broke.

Well I am taking my camera to the greatest of the grapes and will have pictures to post then.

I am boycotting Between the Buns!

So I haven't blogged in a long time. oops.

So just thought I would jot down a quick story about lunch.

I met my dad at Between the Buns for lunch. Both of us were in a good mood just making small talk wen the waitress showed up. I asked her what her soup was, hoping they would have the tomato with cream cheese, as luck would have it they did. So I asked my dad if he wanted to share a sandwhich and i wanted a cup of soup to go with it. The waitress, we will call her Flo, suggested that we do the 1/2 sandwich cup of soup combo it would be cheaper than to share a whole. So we said great thats what we will do. I ordered first and following the menu in the build your own section left to right this is how the dialogue went down.

Natalie: "Ok i will have turkey with hot pepper cheese actually no l would like provolone with lettuce mayo and mustard on wheat whith a cup of the tomato soup and a Sierra mist."

Dad: "I will have turkey with monterrey jack cheese. Can you do that on an Onion Roll?

Flo: "no it has to be sliced bread to be able to do a half. Sorry."

Dad: "well in that case i will have it on sourdough...and you guys have pesto right?

Flo: "yes we do.

Dad: "Great I will have that with light mayo the soup and just a water to drink."

Natalie: "oh. I forgot you guys had pesto can you add that to my sandwich?"

Flo: slight chuckle followed by this statement: "you are like every waitresses nightmare.

Stunned look on both Natalie and Dads faces.

Flo: putting pad on table: "Ok. So you want turkey mayo pesto mustard no tomatos or onions?

Natalie: "yeah thats why i only said lettuce."

Flo is acting exasperated by my pesto request.

Natalie: "i am sorry i did not realize I was being difficult?"

Flo with big smile: "Oh I meant it in the nicest way possilbe."

Natalie: "Ok whatever."

That is almost word for word what transpired. Did I do anything wrong in that situation? I added pesto to my sandwich and asked for it before she left the table with our order. I have been a waitress and I am sorry that is not every waitresses worst nightmare! Ok a 6 top of British people five minutes to close all separate checks is a nightmare. Serving a hamburger to a vegetarian when it was suppose to be a bean patty is a nightmare. Flo needs a reality check.
